After setting attendance records at the Gene Williams Theatre in Branson, the Chicken House Opry was extended opportunities to consider five (5) larger Branson theaters for 2009. "Mr. Williams made the opportunity for us to be in Branson become a reality," said show producer Bob 'Punjo' Reed. "We worked hard to make him proud of having us in his theater. Nothing good comes easy. An opportunity and then good people, good music, good comedy and a lot of hard work made the attendance records possible.

"Now we move into the prestigeous Branson Star Theatre for the upcoming 2009 season in Branson," Reed continued. "This theatre was once home to such outstanding performers as M-Mel Tillis, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Shoji Tabuchi and Yakov Smirnoff".

"We open at the Branson Star Theatre on Monday, April 27th and run through July 17th. After a 30-day break the Opry returns on Monday August 17th and performs the second half of the season with the ending date being Friday, November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving.

"The Chicken House Opry also set  attendance records at the historic Jimmy Driftwood Barn Theatre in Mountain View, Arkansas," Reed said. "Glenn Branscum gave us the opportunity there. He is another fiine gentleman. A man of his word."

"We are excited about our 08-09 winter season kicking off December 6, 2008 in sunny and warm Mission, Texas. As always, we are going to have a lot of fun!"
